The Smart Technologies Consulting team has over 100 years cumulative experience in the IT and Management Consulting sectors. The knowledge and competencies are derived mainly from the Shipping & Logistics, Financial Services, Health, Property, Government and Software Product Development domains for which a diversity of operational and business intelligence and management information systems were developed.
Nazmie has more than 30 years experience in the field of information technology (IT), having worked in the IT divisions of companies such as Barlow Rand, Nampak, FNP (Nestlé), IBM, Bonnita and WESGRO and finally, a founder member of Synerlogix (Pty) Ltd.
Nazmie also experienced entrepreneurial success in the mid-1990’s with his own software company, called iKon Business Solutions. During his IT career, Nazmie has been involved with the full suite of IT services from infrastructure and facilities management, to procurement, outsource contract management and software development.
Anthony Wait has more than 25 years experience in the IT industry. He started out as a software developer in the early 90’s, and progressed to Business Analyst and Project Leader in the middle 90’s. For the next 3 years he was a Project Leader specialising in ERP Supply Chain Management, where after he held an ERP project manager position for 2 years. Building on this experience, he then took charge of General IT management for an international company for 3 years, which involved various projects in the software and infrastructure realms. In this capacity he maintained his involvement in all aspects of IT - systems as well as technical infrastructure. All of the aforementioned experience was gained within the FMCG business environment.
For the past 10 years he has been consulting as a Project Manager, Business Analyst and General IT consultant, in various industries.
